Privacy policy

Curvelog is an iPhone app that reads the brew history from a MAVO Lumicurve coffee scale. It's unofficial and not affiliated with MAVO or Lefu.
The short version
Curvelog doesn't collect any data. The developer never sees your brews, notes or photos. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and the app doesn't talk to any server.
What Curvelog stores, and where
- On your iPhone: the brews and raw logs it reads from your scale, plus anything you add: notes, ratings, doses, coffees, bags, brew methods, guides and photos.
- In your iCloud, if iCloud sync is on: the same data goes to the private iCloud database under your Apple Account, so your other devices and a new phone get your history. Only you can see it. Apple runs iCloud under Apple's privacy policy. You can turn iCloud sync off in Curvelog's Settings, and your data then stays on your iPhone.
If you delete Curvelog, its data on your iPhone is deleted. Data in your iCloud can be managed in the Settings app → your name → iCloud.
Bluetooth
Curvelog uses Bluetooth only to connect to your scale. It reads the scale's brew log, battery level and firmware version, and sets the scale's clock. It doesn't look for or connect to any other device.
Photos
When you add a photo to a brew or a coffee, you pick it with the iOS photo picker. Curvelog only gets the photo you choose, not your library. It keeps a smaller copy with that brew or coffee.
Apple Health
If you turn on Settings → Caffeine and Apple Health (a Curvelog Pro feature), Curvelog adds the estimated caffeine from each brew to Apple Health on your iPhone. It only writes caffeine: it never reads anything from Health. What it writes stays in Health, under your control in the Health app, and is never sent to the developer or anyone else. Turning the setting off stops new entries; you can delete the ones already there in the Health app.
Purchases
Curvelog Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. Curvelog checks on your iPhone whether Pro is unlocked. The developer gets no payment details from Apple.
Children
Curvelog doesn't collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
